Every 5 years, the ABS certification for Marine HydraWrap must be renewed. New to the current renewal process for the HydraWrap carbon fiber composite is hydrostatic testing in which the HydraWrap was applied to damaged pipe and subject to pressure test witnesses by an ABS surveyor.  The  Marine HydraWrap has been recertified as an emergency and temporary repair of piping, pipe fittings, and bulkheads. The HydraWrap carbon fiber reinforced polymer repair system is a recognized solution to restore and enhance the structural integrity of pipe and infrastructure aboard ship.
