The WWETT Show is always a cornerstone event for our industry, and this year’s gathering in Indianapolis was no exception. For HydraTech, the alignment is perfect. The professionals who attend are the exact people managing and working with the pipeline size ranges that our HydraTite and HydraLock internal seals are designed to restore. It’s a fantastic opportunity to spread awareness about the benefits of our trenchless solutions, but it’s also a chance to listen. For instance, in an ever-evolving digital landscape, it was surprising to discover how Facebook groups have become as a networking tool and problem-solving hub for infrastructure professionals.

Back at our booth, we had our usual setup of banners, rack cards, and promotional materials, but this year we brought a game-changer. Unlike our last time at WWETT, we featured a demo HydraTite seal designed to be completely taken apart and reassembled on the spot. Attendees didn’t just have to take our word for it—they could get up close and see exactly how the mechanics work. To show just how fast and straightforward the process is, I was able to reinstall the seal right there on the floor in only 30 minutes. We really wanted to stress, a half-hour installation can translate to a lifetime of leak protection in a real-world pipe.

But WWETT wasn’t just about the hardware; it was about the people. This year was especially memorable because it was a true family affair. My wife, Sarah, brought our young son and baby daughter along, and they truly stole the show. I’m pretty sure a few attendees stopped by the booth specifically just to see them! The tradeshow organizers did a phenomenal job making the event welcoming for families. We took a great break in the IndyHumane Pet Adoption room—the kids absolutely loved playing with the puppies and kittens—and we even got to watch the operators compete in the National Backhoe ROE-D-HOE® Championship Competition. Perhaps the best part was a massive, unforgettable dinner at the football stadium with Sarah, the kids, and our estimator, Jennifer.
